What a great evening in the rain on the Housi!!
6wt really kicked butt nymphing. I lost track of how many he caught. 12 maybe?
Trout were raising on bugs, but didn't touch my dry. I eventually switched over, and caught 1 on a nymph, but within minutes after, I ended up with a broken fly rod mishap.
But a great evening, with a friend.
"Can't wait to get back to that pool 6wt"

......another great night fishing....except for the broken rod. I'm sure they'll stand behind it and waive the fees. That run was loaded with fish as was the pool above. Snapped a quick cellphone pic of one. Attachments:

I just packed up the rod for shipment with a long letter. We'll have to see the out come. Of all times I didn't bring 2 rods, but this will teach me to always think ahead.
Your right what a hot spot!! They seemed to be stacked, but what ever the case, there seemed to be plenty of trout in that pool to go around.
Hey, Nice picture!

Broken rods suck... I picked up a TFO based soley for the fact that I know any stupidity on my part only costs me $25.
good luck

Steven, I know what you mean. The rods that broke is a Redington RS4 that's brand new w/only 2 1/2 outings under its belt. The story is lengthy of what happened, and I'm still not exactly sure, but realistically not my fault. I own several Redington models in various weights & configurations, and they all have been trouble free.
The big thing is because its new, I'm trying to get the $30.00 fee waived.
Its in transit to Washington state as we speak, and should know soon of the out come of my Plea.
Stay tuned............DRYFLYPHIL
