Last night was the perfect evening for Fly fishing. I hit the Housi catch & release. Fished from roughly 6:00pm -7:30pm. A couple missed strikes, and caught one 12" brown on a #14 Grey Fox dry fly.
Wish I caught more, but one is better then none.

6wt,
that was a great time yesterday morning. FUN!! Lets do it again?
You know me, I really enjoy dries, but never retire those buggers. Especially the pattern you tie.
When trout are hitting off the top, there is nothing like Dries. But when they aren't, man, 6wt's woolly buggers are the ticket.
Dries are just another method, to this fun thing we do.
Anyway, a suggestion would to start off with the tried & true dry fly patterns that have been around a many years. There is a reason they have been around for so long. They have a real reputation of being successful.
Like you stated, Orvis is as good as any Fly shop to start off with.
I'll E-mail you with some links for some on-line fly dealers.
Talk with you soon....................DRYFLYPHIL
