There has been some suggestion of a trip to the catskills this spring. I see that the "Clarks Bamboo" mob is planing a get to gether in Rosco May 27th---> June 3rd. Might be a good time for the boo nuts and boo wannabes to see and cast some of the best boo that has ever been made, old and new. Also a good time to meet some of the major boo nuts of the north east. I would expect there may even be some builders there. Whadda ya think? AgMD

That sounds good to me. It's Memorial Day weekend also so it sound be a long weekend for most of us. I can email the guy organizing the gathering and see if they mind us teaming up with them.
I'll ask around at the South County meeting and see if anyone is interested down there. Any opinions from the web users?

Here's the place I'm looking at, I called them today and left a message. I'm not sure what the rates are or if they're booked up yet. www.twinislands.com/map www.twinislands.com/pages/mapmain.htmlThe Twin Islands are right on the Beaverkill and two good holes are just off shore. I requested a camp site next to the river. I figured this would make for some nice private night fishing as well.

Campground looks good. Will they let us pitch multiple small tents on one site? Memorial day in the Catskills might be a bit crowded , but then spring fishing on any of the Catskill waters is likely to be crowded anyway. As long as we lock up some camping early , we should be in good shape. This could be a good time. AgMD

Twin Islands called me back today. Here's the details We're only allowed 1 tent per site. For the 3 night weekend: arriving on Friday 5/26 leaving on Monday 5/29 $81 per site with 2 adults - For 3 people and more it's $4 Extra per night per person. We can get 2 sites next to each other (sites 51 and 52) if we want. They are right on the School House Pool. Here's the map: www.twinislands.com/pages/mapmain.htmlI have a large tent that comfortably sleeps 3. The cost per member will depends on how many people sign up. Example: For 3 people staying on one site it will be $31 per person for all 3 nights. If you don't want to stay all 3 nights the cost will only be the difference of the $4 per night. Again, the price per member will differ depending on how many people sign up.

Hello All,
Please continue to keep me posted. I'm very interested. However, I can't commit so far in advance due to work commitments (work really gets in the way). I hope I can join in with my wife.
