I stopped by & walked the Swift river in Belchertown yesterday during my business travels. They say they stocked the river, but they could be fooling me? Another weird thing is usually you see a couple cars at least parked in the FF area, but very quiet. The water is so gin clear, that usually there isn't any problem see fish when they are there.
The Millers along route 2 in still very high & ripping.
Anyway, tight-lines..............Phil

Hey 6wt!!!
Glad to hear your back from the Bahamas. Hope you had a good time.
I actually took tomorrow off from work to go Fly fishing on the Housi down @ the C&R. Its suppose to be a picture perfect day, as long as the windy conditions stop. Why don't you extend your vacation, blow off work & come with me!!!!!! (seriously)
As I've seen with my own eyes, the River is well stocked.
They're tearing down the Bridge on the second stretch of the Housi & I believe they were suppose to start the work this week. So I don't know if that activity will have any effect on the fishing in that area.
My father pulled a small brookie out of the spot thats good for a few last Friday on a brown woolly bugger. He hasn't Fly fished regularly in years, so it was good to hear that the first time out for him was successful in a small way.
I'll let you know how I make out after my day out.
Tight-lines.................Phil

I've been on the swift 5 days in the last 2 weeks. The fishing is incredible but very crowded. Tried 5 miles downstream and it was still crowded but managed to get into fish. Any word on the millers? I've heard it's running low.
