Heading over the nearby border to Wisconsin on Saturday. The spring run of steel has started along with the hold over fall run steelies and browns. I just hope with the rain coming, it doesn't blow out the streams. Either way, I'll be headed up even if I have to fish in class 5 rapids.
It's been a long winter...

You are killing me! Three weeks before NY opens up. Seems that most years the rivers are roaring through most of April but maybe this year will be different. Not much snow pack, no depth in the high country and nothing in the valleys. Maybe---- AgMD

Fished muddy creek for the first time yesterday, the fishing was as good as all of the stories i've heard about it. The hike out was as bad as the stories i've heard. Headed to the blue today. Hopefully see a bwo hatch as good as yesterday's. Already 37 degrees at 8 am should be a bluebird morning..hopefully snow moves in this afternoon and sets the hatch off!!!
