Has anyone used the Lamson Konic reels? I only have around $150 to spend and the drag system looks unique. Any feedback would be appreciated.

All the Lamson reels use the same type of sealed drag system that incorporate an O ring. To remove the spool you need to pull it straight back off the rod that the O ring seals to. The inside fo the drag system stays completely waterproof. Its the only one I've seen like it.
Without question, its one of the best drag systems on the market. Very low start up inertia and silky smooth. I just purchased a Litespeed 3.5 with the Alox finish for my spey rod and I also own the previous version of the Litespeed for my 5 wt. and have 3 extra spools for it and love the reel(s). I would seriously consider purchasing it. You won't be disappointed.

Both my sons have the lamson konics. They have been reliable and my kids like them.
