Sorry I haven't posted for some time. I can't seem to get the login to "stick" on my work computer and that is usually where I make my posts. When I get home in the evening, I help my son with his homework and before I know it, its bed time (O.K. now cracks about old people going to bed early fellas...) I could sleep, so I decided to catch up with a decent post.
I would like ask that all of the regular posters setup a page on Facebook. Its a great tool to get in touch with old friends and keep in touch with your current ones. Shaun and Joe have pages setup and I wish the rest of you would. If you decide to, search for my name Mark Patenaude, and you'll find my page. You'll be able to tell because my profile picture is of me and my son in front of the fountain at Disney's Epcot. Send me a "friend request" and I'll add you to my list of friends. I've friended up a few prominent fly fishers like Lance Egan, Charlie Craven, Jack Dennis, and Brad Befus. I even found a couple of my very good friends that served with me in the Army for 10 years.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I visited family in North Adams for 4 days. Didn't bring my gear as I only had a short time and hadn't seen my family in quite a while. As I drove by the Hoosic, Millers, Deerfield, Cold and Green Rivers, I only looked with envy. You guys have it really good living in the Berkshires and nearby. I told my wife if we lived there we would be divorced, I'd be jobless and become a trout bum...
I've gotten out a few times this year and did quite well for Kings, Coho and Browns. The typical Chicago weather is about to move in with bitter cold and around 6" of snow is predicted for today and into tonight. Oh, boy I can't wait - NOT! I just finished with the outside Christmas decorations. Spent a total of 12 hours over 2 days getting them done. Its alot of work but the look on my son's face when we light them up is worth every minute.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas. Please remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.
Blessings to all
Mark
