I fished the West Housatonic along Lebanon Avenue in Pittsfield and caught a 12 inch rainbow near Melbourne Street.
I also saw two smaller rainbows swim upstream by me in roughly the same area. When I headed upstream after them, I came across another fishermen, who said he had not had any luck that day, but caught three rainbows in that stretch over the last couple weekends.

I fished the West Branch by Clapp Park in Pittsfield this morning and landed two nice trout (both about 12 inches long).
The first was a brown right under the trestle, and the second was a rainbow just upstream and around the bend.
It looks like spring has finally arrived!

Hoxie, it sounds good!!
I actually went over there last weekend & scouted it out behind the TV/radio tower. A lot of empty worm containers laying around, so I didn't pursue it any further. I figure with the river stocking & the empty container, it was hit pretty hard. I also didn't see any fish action, but maybe I'll reconsider.
Tight-lines...............Phil
