Every year (on or around Memorial Day) my buddy Shawn and I run an event for kids on the ponds at Orvis. We usually have them do a little tying, and then we take them out to the pond to fish. Some of those rainbows are absolutely enormous. We've had a number of rods broken and even a Brodin boat net was splintered. The fish that broke the net was easily in excess of 15 pounds. It's ridiculous to watch, but it does get you fired up for the real thing. Nice pics ... Mike D. battenkill.tripod.com

I've been to those ponds. I look at the bows like I would a Steelhead. But the size of those Brookies...come on!
